My name is Rachel Nash. I am a certified yoga instructor and sound healing practitioner specializing in Yin Yoga, Gentle Flow, Yoga Nidra, and sound baths. I live in Cameron Park with my husband, our three wonderful children, and our three dogs.
Yoga changed my life by helping me reconnect with myself. Like many women and caregivers, I was so busy taking care of everyone else that caring for myself continually fell to the bottom of the list. As a mother of neurodivergent children, my mind was constantly racing. Over time, that stress began affecting both my sleep and my body as I struggled with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, IBS, and insomnia.
I tried many different approaches, but what helped me most was learning how to truly relax. I knew I needed to slow down, but I couldn’t simply turn off my thoughts. It didn’t happen overnight. With time and the support of calming, restorative practices, I began to feel safe enough to soften, release tension, and let my guard down.
Guided practices gave my busy mind something gentle to focus on. Yoga helped me become more present with my body, my thoughts, and my emotions without judgment. Breathwork, body scans, and visualization helped quiet the mental chatter, while the soothing vibrations of sound bowls allowed me to settle more deeply into a meditative and restorative state.
These practices helped me feel more grounded, rested, and connected to myself. My hope is to share what helped me most by creating a peaceful, welcoming space where others can step away from the demands of daily life, slow down, and experience the restorative power of deep rest.
